I feel like those subtitles were meant to dissuade me, but they just all sound like rock album names, so
truer words have never been spoken
I share that headcanon. c:

Ok, so everyone is freaking scared of Weeping Angels, right? As the Doctor puts it, they’re the lonely assassins who can’t be killed if quantum locked, feeding on potential time energy, as old as the Universe and no one knows where they came from…
Or do we?
Actually we’ve already met two other creatures who feed on time energy. The easiest one to remember is this guy, the Reaper:
They’re near-animal beasts that live outside our Universe looking for abnormalities in time. When they find one, they proceed to manifest physically and zap everything into oblivion until there’s nothing left. Just like the Weeping Angels, they touch things and then they seize to exist.
But once they acquire physical form, they’re vulnerable.Unlike the Angels, they can be harmed, they can be defeated.
The other entity we know feeds on time is, of course, the Chronovore, aka The Quantum Archangel, aka this guy:
(You see where I’m going, right?)
Chronovores are god-like beings who live in the Time Vortex and feed on time energy. They can erase people from reality by feeding on the years of their lives. Reminds you of anything?
But they’re bigger than that, they’re the supreme time-meddlers, they can even shape reality the way they want by changing the past as they please.
Ok, now hear me out: we have 3 very similar creatures, with 3 very similar behaviours and even habitats. What we’re seeing here is nothing less than evolution.
The reapers evolved so they could hunt inside the Universe without being harmed, originating the Weeping Angels who in turned evolved so much they became near-gods of time, the Chronovores.
